Learn to crochet in the round and make a sweet spiral hat!

Ready to graduate from scarves and flat pieces and make your first crocheted hat? If you know how to single crochet and double crochet, you can make the Yo-Yo Hat! We’ll work our way through the pattern together and learn how to crochet in the round. Adding the contrasting color spiral is the last step. It’s a surprisingly easy detail that will make everyone say, “Wow— how did you make that!?”

This is a Beginner/Advanced Beginner crochet class. Students should already know chain stitch, single crochet stitch, and double crochet stitch. You will begin the hat immediately in class after reviewing the pattern together. Students will learn pattern reading, magic ring, crochet in the round, and tips for counting stitches and getting the right fit!

Cost: $90.00 per student, class limit is 6 students.

Yarn: Students can purchase two contrasting colors of Malabrigo Rios, Seis Cabos, or similar worsted weight yarn in the shop. Pattern is included with class fee.

Other Materials: US H (5.0mm) crochet hook, tapestry needle, scissors, locking stitch markers.
